If you buy the bottled kind of tomatopastasauce, unfortunately, as with any can, jar or carton of juice, soup, sauce or vegetables you find on the supermarket shelf, the nutrition has been largely destroyed by pasteurisation or ultra heat treatment (UHT)
You will need to remove a few big scoops of the pastasauce mixture and place it into the base of your baking dish before adding the pasta to cook… or it will definitely overflow
Prepare the sauce, simmer while you are working with the meat and stuffing vegetables. Press the meat firmly to fill the cavity, filling each vegetablewith enough meat to create a domed top
Courgettes and peppers are roasted with cumin seeds and sumac then tossed with quinoa, nutty lentils and a refreshing mix of coriander, mint and parsley and dressed with lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil
I've had a couple of people ask me for my tomatosauce recipe, so here it is. We really like it, and I find it great not only as 'ketchup', but also as a baking sauce for chicken, ribs, roast, meatloaf, etc
And I really liked this – I mean I love pasta so no surprise there, but the dressing is one of the best things about this – creamy with a hint of lemon, it goes perfectly with the tuna, comforting pasta and crunchy vegies

Those of us fortunate enough to have space for a greenhouse, a sunny patch of garden, allotment, or indeed – in my case – a brilliantly-bright conservatory, are rubbing our hands in either glee or tense anticipation
