Ingredients

  • 225 g uncooked spaghetti, broken (8 ounces)
  • 60 ml salad oil (1/4 cup)
  • 1 (428g) tin of creamed corn (1 pound tin)
  • 2 slices streaky bacon, diced
  • 1 small onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 medium sized green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 120 ml tomato passata (1/2 cup tomato sauce)
  • 1/2 (295g tin) condensed tomato soup (1/2 10 3/4 ounce tin)
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 225 g grated strong cheddar cheese (2 cups)
