Can we take a moment tostop what we are doing and thank the universe for including chocolate. This stuff will keep you living long, smiling big and probably singing in between bites
If you want to change the flavour profile a little, and stray from tradition, this is also delicious with some grated ginger (an inch or so) and a clove of crushed garlic added to the marinade, maybe even some sliced or finely chopped red chillies (with or without seeds depending on how hot you like it
These are similar to the energy balls that I have made and discussed here on my blog and also on Mellymaks Facebook page, however the main difference is the complex carbohydrate content in these balls is greater, to give that fibre, blood sugar steadying, fuller for longer effect
If you try it, let me know how it goes. The secret to getting the texture right on this bread is to cook it for long enough that it's not still sticky inside
Over the weekend, I had the case of itchy fingers and decided to try marbling my Butter Cake. As long as the cake turns out, they just wallop, no questions asked
