I find a lot of bought glutenfree stuff is a real disappointment – dry, gritty, bad-tasting and generally quite unpleasant, so I try and make my own where I can - this often means experimenting with different quantities and ingredients and having a few fails - so when something really works, I really want to share it

So whilst you can simply press the mix into a slice tin and run a knife through it straight after baking to make into fingers, this year I chose to make them extra Christmassy by pressing the mix out into Christmas shapes and making a hole in the top with a straw to create an ornament effect
I’ve made it glutenfree and with raw sugar and it tastes just as good. Read the label to make sure your choc chips are glutenfree if you’re making them glutenfree

I can do Cupcakes but I've not experimented enough to consider then to be anything other than okay. There's no way that a gluten guzzler like my Dad would find my glutenfree Cupcakes anything but very free from and lacking in general
You can make your pastry using other equipment by rubbing the butter into the flour and icing sugar until you have breadcrumbs and then add the egg yolk and water until your dough comes together

(Note depending on the size of your cooking vessel, it is recommended that you fry the beef in batches, making sure you don't crowd the beef in the hot oil resulting in reducing the ideal temperature of deep frying significantly
