There are countless cakerecipes. I made this egg less version of vanillaspongecake. We call it as plain cake , as it is without any other extra flavor other than vanilla essence
Add vanilla essence and cooking oil to the soaked dates + milk. So try this healthy, guilt free, eggless dates cakerecipe at home (Indian Khajoor cake) and share your feedback with me
Take the wet ingredients ( oil, water, milk, vanilla essence, vinegar) and mix well. Last month I tried this eggless, super soft, moist & spongy basic Chocolate cakerecipe for my FIL’s birthday
For variations, you can add chopped walnuts, Chocolate chips or even tuttifrutti. To the mashed banana, add sugar, cooking oil, vanilla essence, lemon juice and mix well till sugar dissolves ( you can add powdered nutmeg or cinnamon for more flavor)
** I used cashews, badam, pista, walnut, plum, cherries, tuttifrutti, raisins. To the soaked dry fruits mixture, add sugar, oil, curd, vanilla essence, orange zest and lion dates syrup
No flavour enhancer such as vanilla essence. Without using all this, It comes back to the traditional easy to remember recipe of Kuey neng Ko which yields a soft and full of egg aroma steamed spongecake

This is a yummy, moist cake that's very quick and easy, especially if you have a Thermomix. Pour into baking paper-lined cake tin, or small rectangular pan

The recipe you’re thinking of uses a packet cake mix for the base and this one doesn’t. I’m not generally a fan of things from packets but my main reason not to use packet cake mix because I never have it in the house
Add the vanilla extract, hot water and cornflour mixture to the bowl. Anyway, we had new neighbours move in over the weekend and I wanted to make them a spongecake (and I was secretly keen to give the Thermomix a shot at matching gran’s spongerecipe
I remembered seeing a cake in the Crabapple Bakery Cupcake Cookbook that I thought was stunning, so I flipped it open and found what it was - a ginger spongecake (it was meant to be filled with apple sauce, but I decided cream and strawberries was the way to go
Add the vanilla and the eggs one at a time, beating constantly. Okay, maybe I’m taking liberties calling this a cake, perhaps it should be called a slice
Love it and read on for the recipe. I thought plain steamed spongecake with homemade kumquat compote would give the cake an added refreshing flavor and uplift the cake to a higher level and true enough, it was yummy good
