And those of you in North America, these aren’t the bready scone-like biscuits you’re familiar with. Gently cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple of days, or at least overnight, before slicing and serving
They are also good as dessert, remove the papers, warm and serve with a generous blob of cream. Spray muffin papers with cooking spray to make muffins easier to remove from paper cases
But I'm still going to play around with this recipe and look at making it more wholesome -I'm thinking 'Apple and Walnut' and 'Lemon and Poppyseed' versions
Quite refreshing really. So I used my original ice cream recipe but substituted the cream for the cream cheese and yogurt, and when it was almost finished churning, I threw in a couple of handfuls of frozen organic raspberries
For the filling, I went with a simple combination of roughly chopped plums, sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon, which was then topped with a generous chocolatecrumble topping
We have also tried these withfresh fruit, chocolate mousse and they make a great base for a miniature cheesecake without the faff of smashing up biscuits
