Ingredients

  • 225 g softened unsalted butter
  • 225 g light muscavado sugar
  • sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100 g chopped walnuts (or 50g walnuts & 50g pecans)
  • 100 g natural sultanas
  • 225 g self
  • 2 level teaspoons baking powder
  • 400 g apples, peeled, cored and grated
  • 1 level teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 23 cm deep cake tin
  • 24 cm so I used that
