Ingredients

  • 180 g old fashioned rolled oats (2 cups)
  • 150 g plain flour (generous 1 cup all purpose)
  • 150 g caster sugar (2/3 cup superfine)
  • 60 g dessicated unsweetened coconut (3/4 cup)
  • 115 g golden syrup (1/3 cup)
  • 125 g of unsalted butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
  • 2 TBS hot water
